Josh Nuss is the Executive Director of The ALS Association Iowa Chapter and has been with the chapter since September of 2014. Josh has served on a number of national committees and work groups including the Walk Work Group, Corporate Relations Task Force, Planned Giving Task Force and others. Josh was instrumental in securing a collaborative ALS Clinic in the Des Moines area, bringing together competing hospitals (Mercy, UnityPoint and the University of Iowa) to provide this one-of-a-kind ALS Clinic. Josh has over 15 years of non-profit experience. 
Prior to coming to The ALS Association he worked for the American Red Cross as the Regional Director of Events and Donor Communications and served as the Executive Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Eastern Iowa for over seven years.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from the University of Northern Iowa. Josh lives in Waukee, IA with his wife, Kate (who is a preschool teacher) and their twin daughters Lydia and Taylor who are 10 years old. He enjoys golf, baseball/softball, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with family and watching his girls in their many activities including dance, tennis and coaching his daughter Taylor’s travel softball team.
