Jake Rankin, MBA, CFE, CSA – CEO Talem Home Care

In 2005, Jake Rankin launched his career in healthcare when he started working as a caregiver and case manager for a non-medical home care agency in Boise, Id. Having already received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Jake decided to go back to school to earn a MBA which he received in 2006.

Over his career in the health care industry, Jake gained wide experience understanding the many challenges and resources that face the senior population. He has worked in home health, home care, hospice, home infusion and senior placement services. In 2010, he received his certification as a Certified Senior Advisor®. 

Then one day he was forced to experience something no one wants to experience. His mother had been battling health issues for years and it became more serious. As she lay unconscious in the ICU, he was forced to make extremely difficult decisions, alone and with little help. He found himself struggling to get enough information from the medical staff to understand, plan, and figure out what to do next. One would think being in the industry at this point for almost a decade, receiving his Certified Senior Advisor certification and spending countless hours helping other families in the same situation, he would be ahead of the game and be prepared for this. But, as we all know, nothing is as easy as it seems.  It was this experience that fueled his passion to do his part in ensuring others don’t have the same experience.  This set the foundation what is now Talem Home Care.

Jake has been CEO of Talem Home Care, LLC since our inception in September of 2013. In 2015 Talem launched as a franchisor.  Since then, Jake has received a Certificate in Franchise Management from Georgetown University as well as he became a Certified Franchise Executive.
