Fayyaz (Shawn) Shariff

Shawn Shariff is a first generation immigrant from Pakistan. With no money in his pocket, he set out to come to America where he had no family, no friends, and no business connections. Through hard work and perseverance at the age of 17, he managed to get a job at a local KFC in the San Fernando Valley. With no previous higher level education experience, it was through working at this establishment that he learned the ropes of the restaurant business. Shawn’s grandfather was a restaurant owner himself in Pakistan and it was when Shawn came to the US that he realized he wanted to continue in his grandfather’s legacy and start his own business in Los Angeles, California. After 35 years of hard work, dedication, and definitely with some struggles, Shawn is now a proud owner of KFC/Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and the newly opened Habit in Universal Studios City Walk along with a number of KFC locations scattered throughout Southern California.
