Elaine Vakalopoulos – Your Franchise Options

Elaine Vakalopoulos – Your Franchise Options

Becoming a franchise consultant is a perfect convergence of Elaine’s career spanning thirty years of brokerage, finance, analytics and small business management, including owning a franchise.

After a decade of matching tenants and buyers with the best commercial property options, Elaine Vakalopoulos earned a Masters Degree in Real Estate from M.I.T. This took her real estate career to a new level, including Wall Street, where she analyzed publicly traded real estate stocks (REITs).

The appeal of the corporate environment waned, leading Elaine to establish her own real estate consulting practice. She served institutional clients in both the private and public sectors, with a focus on retail shopping centers and malls.

As with many, sometimes life-changes are intentional, while at other times, change is brought upon us. After adopting a child and moving from urban Chicago to rural Cape Cod, Elaine reevaluated her career options.

In tandem with the start of our nation’s Great Recession in 2007, Elaine opened a franchise to have greater control of her schedule and destiny. It was the first franchise of its kind in Massachusetts, and it is a success story despite the dismal economy.

Her fitness franchise operated in the black throughout the entire economic crisis, and to further affirm its success, in 2014, a member asked if she would sell the business to him. The timing was right and she advantageously exited at a solid gain.

Today she guides others on their quest towards entrepreneurship by applying her first hand knowledge of franchises and understanding the nuances of run a business. Note: like a headhunter, her services and resources come free of charge.

Elaine’s goal is to educate and support enlightened decision-making to ensure the best possible candidate-franchise match, based upon candidate’s particular skill sets, personality, investment criteria and life goals.

In short, her “been there, done that” viewpoint on the franchise process and ownership is invaluable. She is diligent and thorough and will be happy to share more of her story and how the process works. Why not tell her your story and learn if franchising is right for you?
