Keith Gallagher, Producer, Connor and Gallagher OneSource

Keith Gallagher graduated from Illinois State University with a major in Insurance.  From there he started his career with Liberty Mutual as a commercial line’s underwriter.  With the breadth of resources and training available at Liberty Mutual he built on what he had previously learned in the classroom.  This was a great launching pad for a career in insurance given the generalist appetite they have as a company he was exposed to many business types and all lines of coverage including Property, General Liability, Auto, Inland Marine, Workers Compensation, and Umbrella.  After several years with Liberty Mutual he made the move to a more specialty underwriting company, Seneca Insurance, a Crum & Forester Company.  Here he expanded his industry insight to learn more about what can often be considered more specialty coverage.  This brought in the ability to write on both Admitted and Excess & Surplus paper and added some further complexity to each risk.

After a couple of years with Seneca he had decided he had a strong enough understanding of the industry and would make the move to sales and the family business, Connor & Gallagher.  This company was started by Tom Connor & Dan Gallagher, Keith’s father, in 1997 and has grown from the two of them to the second largest independent insurance agency in the Chicagoland area over the last +25 years.  He focusses his sales on Property & Casualty insurance, leaning on the insights garnered over his years as an underwriter.  The agency has also expanded their service capability beyond strictly Property & Casualty insurance to include Employee Benefits, Outsourced Human Resources, Payroll, Retirement Planning, Personal Lines insurance, and Personal Wealth Management.
